01 / Story

From a red barn to a global bicycle range.

Trek began making touring frames in a Waterloo, Wisconsin barn. It grew into a full bicycle company while keeping headquarters, engineering and some high-end production in Waterloo and using global factories for most models.

1976
Trek builds its first frames in Waterloo.
